Proudly serving Maryland communities since 2008.
Since 2008, McGuire Therapeutic Services has been dedicated to empowering individuals, families, and communities through compassionate mental health care, personal development, and holistic wellness.
Founded in Prince George's County, Maryland, our organization has grown from a vision of making quality mental health services more accessible into a comprehensive mental health and wellness practice.
Today, we proudly serve clients through two Maryland locations in Lanham and Wheaton, along with our growing McGuire Therapeutic Wellness Spa in Lanham.
Our mission is to promote mental health wellness and provide client-directed services that build independence and personal growth, while advocating for our clients and raising community awareness of mental health challenges.
Clients who work with us report experiencing greater levels of personal growth and alleviation of symptoms as they increase in self-understanding and self-compassion.
As we continue to expand, our commitment remains unchanged: encouraging personal, relational, and spiritual growth while helping individuals build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Rasheda McGuire, LCPC
Founder & CEO
McGuire Therapeutic Services is led by its Founder and CEO, Rasheda McGuire, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Maryland Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor with extensive expertise in psychotherapy, clinical leadership, and life and executive coaching.
With more than 25 years of experience in the mental health field and over 17 years of consulting and management expertise, Ms. McGuire has dedicated her career to empowering individuals, strengthening families, and advocating for those living with mental health challenges and developmental disabilities.
Since founding McGuire Therapeutic Services in 2008, she has remained committed to expanding access to high-quality, compassionate, and culturally responsive mental health care, particularly for individuals and families in underserved communities throughout Prince George's and Montgomery Counties.
Driven by a passion for helping others achieve meaningful and lasting change, Ms. McGuire combines clinical expertise with a holistic approach that encourages personal, relational, and spiritual growth. Her areas of specialization include grief and loss, trauma and PTSD, anxiety, faith-based counseling, premarital counseling, and personal and professional development.
Beyond her clinical and executive leadership roles, Ms. McGuire serves as Chair of Regent University's Psychology and Counseling Alumni, where she provides guidance, mentorship, and professional insight to support graduates and promote excellence in the counseling profession.
Her expertise and contributions to the mental health field have also led to appearances on national television networks, including CNN Headline News, OWN, Bravo, and MSNBC.
